Considering the implications of the coronavirus epidemic, the DigestMed Clinic offers you the possibility of receiving an ONLINE medical consultation through videoconference. This way you can communicate with our doctors to describe your problems and you can send medical documents with previous analyses or investigations.
Our doctors will analyze your data and guide you regarding your problem, treatment or the need for further investigation. Medical advice and online medical advice do NOT replace the medical consultation and do NOT establish the diagnosis! Depending on the situation, it may be necessary to present to the clinic for clinical examination and additional investigations.
Using two ways of remote medical evaluation, you can visit the clinic only when it is really necessary. You can also be evaluated through all the necessary investigations at the time of presentation.
What is the difference between medical advice, online medical advice and medical consultation?
Online medical consulting
Anamnesis: reporting your health problems, their evolution, establishing personal and family history, assessing risk factors related to living and working conditions and current medication.
Evaluation of the medical file – analyses, previous investigations, evolution in time.
Possibility to indicate the location of the accusations (eg: location of abdominal pain) or other clinical signs.
The possible causes of the medical problem are discussed.
Establishing and explaining the necessary investigations.
Discussion of diet and treatment measures (OTC drugs).
Receive a medical report by email.
It is done by video conference, using the Zoom application.

Consult medical

Clinical exam.
Establishing the stage diagnosis.
Establishing and explaining the necessary investigations for a correct diagnosis (if necessary). Depending on the situation, the investigations can be performed at the time of presentation.
Establishing and explaining the treatment scheme.
Receive a medical report, prescription, treatment schedule. Requires a visit to the clinic.

Details for the online medical consultation
- Click on the button “Schedule an online medical consultation”.
- Choose the doctor, the date and the time interval.
- Click the “Continue” button.
- Enter the following:
- Name;
- First name;
- Mobile phone;
- Email Address;
- Remarks.
- Chect the “I’m not a robot” box.
- Click the “Finish appointment button”.
- Perform the online payment by bank card.
After payment you will receive by email the details about the chosen appointment together with a link that you have to access on the date and time of the appointment.
In the meantime, please prepare the medical documents in electronic format with previous analyses or investigations, make sure that you have stable access to the internet, a functional video camera and microphone on the device you will use (phone, laptop or tablet) and install the Zoom application on your device.
FINALIZING THE ONLINE MEDICAL CONSULTATION SESSION
The average time for the online medical consultation service is estimated at 20 minutes, but it is the doctor who decides to complete the consultation after evaluating each patient.
Due to the confidentiality of sensitive data, the video conference is not saved in video format and cannot be accessed later.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE VIDEO CONFERENCE IS INTERRUPTED
In the exceptional situation in which the video conference is interrupted during the online medical consultation, in order to resume the consultation please reuse the link that you received in the appointment confirmation email.
HOW TO CANCEL OR REPROGRAM AN ONLINE MEDICAL CONSULTATION
Cancellations or rescheduling are allowed up to 24 hours in advance by calling 0743.344.378 or by email at contact@digestmed.ro. In case of cancellation at least 24 hours in advance, the amount collected in advance is refunded within a maximum of 72 hours to the IBAN account indicated by the patient.
